WHAT HAPPENED TO ¡GLOBALQUERQUE 2023?


COVID-19 SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS

¡Globalquerque! will be abiding by all CDC and local public health mandates and guidelines. Additional COVID-19 policies may be added and enforced.

We strongly suggest wearing masks at the festival and particularly for indoor activities and performances

¡Globalquerque! will continue to work closely with state and city officials. The safety and health of festival attendees, staff, artists, and volunteers are always our highest priority and all are vaccinated and/or have provide proof of negative test 48 hours prior to attending the festival.

 

Hand Sanitizer Stations will be provided at the Medical, Info and Merch booths, and at the entrances of all buildings.

EVENING TICKET AVAILABILITY AND REFUNDS

- Walk-up Tickets for evening perfomances are available at the gate, but the best deal is to purchase tickets in advance

- Evening Tickets are available soon

- Evening Tickets will be available for walk up each day of the festival.

 

After 4 PM  on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 you MUST have a valid wristband to remain on site. There are NO exceptions.
 

All sales are final for all tickets to ¡Globalquerque! and related events. However, tickets are transferrable, so you can gift them to a pal or loved one if you are unable to attend.

Weekend passes cannot be split and must be used by the same person each day of the festival.  

​

Artist lineup is subject to change and artist cancellations, postponements, or rescheduling is not grounds for a refund.

WRISTBANDS

You must wear your wrist band at all times after 4 PM on Friday and Saturday evening.  Those without the proper wristband will be escorted off festival grounds.

RE-ENTRY

Is allowed with proper wrist band.

KIDS

Yes!  ¡Globalquerque! free Global Fiesta day programming is family-focused and our ticketed evening programming is family-friendly!  Children and youth under 13 must be accompanied by a care-caregiver for all ¡Globalquerque! activities.

​

¡GLOBAQUERQUITO! SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our school program is not open to the public.  It is a specially designed program for students, educators and schools.  Home schoolers are welcome.  More information on registering you school or class HERE

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Beer is available for purchase on site from ¡Globalquerque!'s Official Brew: Santa Fe Brewing Co.

Wine is available for purchase on site from ¡Globalquerque!'s Official Vino: Sheehan Winery.

You must be 21+ with and valid ID to receive a wristband to purchase beer or wine.
No outside alcohol is allowed anywhere on the festival site.

WEATHER

Please note that our three stages are outside, and New Mexico in September can range in temperature from very warm afternoons to sweater weather in the evening. ¡Globalquerque! is a rain or shine event.  Please prepare accordingly. 

​

FIRST AID
There is staffed first aid on site.

​

THERE ARE NO CAMPING OPTIONS 

However, we do have a sweet deal with Best Western Albuquerque Airport Inn and Suites that includes shuttle service to the festival.  Check out rates HERE.

​

THESE ITEMS ARE COOL TO BRING

Daypacks, water bottles, sunscreen, cameras (no flash photography, and please respect performers wishes), cell phones, bubbles, service animals

​

Also: wear comfy shoes, bring a friend and bring a smile!

​

THESE ITEMS ARE NOT COOL TO BRING & ARE PROHIBITED

Drugs, alcohol, weapons of any kind including guns & knives, fireworks, open flames, pets or animals of any kind (except service animals), professional recording devices, skateboards, chairs or tables, glass containers, matches.
 

AFTER 4 PM on Friday and Saturday, the following are also prohibited on campus: all outside food & drink and strollers.

BIKE VALET
There is a secure bike valet courtesy of Bike ABQ at the entrance to the festival.  #PedalPower


SMOKING IS PROHIBITED 

Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the National Hispanic Cultural Center campus.

PETS ARE PROHIBITED
Pets or animals of any kind are prohibited with the exception of service animals.

​

UNAUTHORIZED VENDING IS PROHIBITED 

Unauthorized vending or selling of any items, materials, food or drink is prohibited and is grounds for removal from festival grounds.

SECURITY
 

¡Globalquerque! has 24-hour security on site throughout the weekend.

 

LOST & FOUND
Is located in the Security Office.  You can turn in found items there or at the ¡Globalquerque! Information Booth located in the Global Village.  Lost items should be picked up at Security Office.

BATHROOMS
Are located in multiple locations throughout the grounds.  Please help us keep them clean.

 

ACCESSIBILITY
We make every effort to ensure accessibility for all users of the site, including compliance with the State of New Mexico’s Universal Access Design Standards and the ADA – Section 508 accessibility standards. Please notify the NHCC should you find any deviations from these standards.
